Force + moment
Designed to counter recoil forces and associated disturbing moments during firing.
ARMS — Active Recoil Management System is a modular recoil-compensation attachment designed to counter recoil forces and associated disturbing moments while preserving the underlying weapon platform.
ARMS is a modular recoil-compensation attachment integrated with the weapon. Its purpose is to address both recoil-induced impulse and the associated disturbing moments that contribute to muzzle disturbance.
Designed to counter recoil forces and associated disturbing moments during firing.
The concept is built around an attachment rather than complete replacement of the host platform.
A modular approach is intended to support adaptation across compatible platforms.
The intended result is improved stability, controllability and shot consistency.
The product proposition is intentionally straightforward: add a modular recoil-management capability to compatible existing platforms rather than treating the entire weapon as a replacement program.
Designed as an attachment for existing rifle platforms.
A modular architecture intended for compatible platform families.
Addresses recoil impulse and the rotational moments associated with muzzle disturbance.
Designed around stability, controllability and shot consistency while preserving the underlying architecture.
Conventional rifles experience recoil forces and associated moments during firing. These effects can influence stability, controllability and accuracy, while changing the underlying platform can be costly and impractical.
Engineering challenge / preserve platform performance
ARMS is conceived as a modular attachment that provides an equal-and-opposite impulse intended to counter recoil forces and disturbing moments, improving the handling characteristics of the host platform without requiring complete replacement.
ARMS is currently in early-stage engineering development. The next objective is a validated functional demonstrator with quantified performance.
Concept formulated, preliminary force/moment analysis completed, and system architecture defined.
Attachment architecture developed, key components identified, and initial design iterations completed.
Functional prototype, bench testing and design refinement are the immediate development objectives.
Laboratory testing, recoil/moment measurements, controlled user-oriented trials and refinement.
The target is to develop a functional demonstrator ready for pilot engagement and further defence integration.
ARMS is positioned around retrofit opportunities across compatible existing weapon platforms and an eventual path through institutional and industrial adoption.
